jVault Desktop is a Windows PC program used to store information such as passwords, bank account numbers, PINs, and other sensitive data.
Although
jVault Desktop can run as a independent, standalone application, it was designed to work as a companion application to the
jVault
app for the Palm WebOS devices.
With
jVault Desktop, you can copy the jVault database file from your Palm Pre or Pixi device connected to your PC using
a USB sync cable. After which, you can add, edit, and delete category and card entries from the
jVault Desktop interface. Once
you are done, you can copy the modified database back to you Palm device (or continue using it on your Desktop PC).
jVault Desktop allows you to very quickly enter data into a
jVault database file on your PC. In addition, you can also
import CSV formatted files that you've exported from other 3rd-party password manager programs.
Backing up your data is a big concern for many users, and
jVault Desktop has the perfect answer with a backup and restore utility built-in.
Using this application, you can copy your
jVault database from your Palm device and store it on your Desktop PC. If you ever need to restore it,
you can do so with the saved database file.
Just like with
jVault on your Palm Pre or Pixi, all data in
jVault Desktop is encrypted with 256-bit Blowfish encryption for security.
So without your password, no one can decrypt or view your important information.
